Rain, Rain, Go away! WI Women battle rain in the lead up to the ICC WOmen's World T20
Rain forced the 2nd unofficial practice match between the West Indies Women and Pakistan Women to be cancelled.
Persistent overnight rains prevented the ground from being dry enough to allow players to safely play on it. The first match saw West Indies Women winning by 6 wickets with Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle reminding their opponents of what a fearless duo they can be at the crease.
Due to the rain, training was held at an indoor facility in the town of Maroochydore as West Indies Women continue to prepare to battle their rivals for the silverware they brought back to the West Indies in 2016.
The coaching staff created scenarios for the players to practice in the absence of the actual match.
Subject to no rain on Wednesday local Australia time, the final unofficial practice vs Pakistan Women will be played before the official ICC period starts.
