Rovman Powell is an aggressive middle-order batsman who bowls medium pace, who has featured in numerous of West Indies' white-ball squads in recent years. He is also Jamaica’s captain and has been a consistent performer for Jamaica across the West Indies Super50 championships and as key CPL player for Jamaica Tallawahs.
For West Indies his most significant moment was his maiden ODI hundred, against Ireland in 2018, helped them to a crucial win during the World Cup qualifier, and temporarily captaining the team in Bangladesh later that year, when they won the series. He first emerged as a member of the Combined Campuses & Colleges team in the white ball format and is capable of explosive performances with the bat and is also a dynamic outfielder.
