Fabian Allen
A member of the West Indies Under-19 team that went to the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup which was played in the United Arab Emirates, Fabian Allen has steadily, if not spectacularly made his way through the West Indies talent pathway.
He made his first-class debut in 2016 for the Jamaica Scorpions and distinguished himself the following year with a maiden hundred in just his season, a purposeful 169 against Trinidad & Tobago Red Force.
This followed a debut in the Caribbean Premier League, where he made his Twenty20 debut for the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots for whom he has played a few match-winning innings, in addition to his steady left-arm spin bowling.
This led to his debut for the Scorpions in the West Indies Super50 Championship the following year and a place in the West Indies “B” Team for the inaugural Global T20 Canada and a stint with the Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League.
He has had only a handful of appearances on the international stage and is yet to make a big impact, but his progress suggests that he could slowly, but surely develop into a reliable member of the West Indies squad.
