Today we want to wish West Indies fast bowler Oshane Thomas a happy birthday. We also want to wish him a speedy recovery following his accident in Jamaica. The strongly-built six-footer celebrates his 23rd birthday today. He escaped serious injury when his car overturned on Sunday. He is now resting and preparing to return to training.

Reports out of Jamaica indicate he was taken to Spanish Town Hospital for treatment and scans before being released. The collision occurred on Highway 2000 near Old Harbour in St Catherine.

Thomas made his international debut back in October, 2018 in India. He has so far played 30 matches for West Indies – 10 T20 Internationals and 20 One-Day Internationals.

His last match for the #MenInMaroon was against Ireland at the Grenada National Stadium last month.

His best bowling came against England when he took 5-21 in a sensational spell of sustained pace at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia.

He also had another impressive performance when he took 4-25 against Pakistan at Trent Bridge the ICC Cricket World Cup last year.
