Captain of Guyana’s Girls under 19 team for the last 3 years, leading them to the title in 2018, Shabba as she’s called by her teammates has been a part of the West Indies Women’s set up since joining camp in May 2018. Shabba made her ODI and T20 International debut in the home series against Australia, where she showed the selectors why they made the right choice by investing in her. Forming lower-order partnerships with the bowlers or rotating the strike with the captain deep into the innings, Shabba is a fearless batter. She took on the Aussie bowlers, with the most beautiful straight drives and chips, then she was very economical with her medium pace. No doubt she’s one who’s gonna be on the international scene for years to come.
