For his talent, many would have hoped to see Rayad Emrit more on the international stage. Yet, for all the prowess he's shown at the domestic level, Rayad has only played two One Day Internationals and four T20Is. His talent, however, has never come into question. Having made his regional debut in 2006, Rayad has shown a remarkable trait of being able to adapt with the times, and of course, it helps being an all rounder.
Like so many of his colleagues, he has found success in the T20 format of the game, most notably with his Caribbean Premier League side, the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Never one to stray too far away from the spirit of the game, Rayad continues to be a key player for the T&T Red Force. He's scored all of three First Class hundreds and five half-centuries. The Red Force always seems to miss him when he's not on the field.
At 37 years, some may say he's now in the twilight of his career, but his passion for the game still burns as bright as ever.
