Hayden Walsh Jr. A wholehearted performer, Walsh is a clever leg-spinner, left-handed lower-order batsman and brilliant fielder. He was selected to the West Indies team in November 2019 after some brilliant performances for Barbados Trident in the CPL. He debuted for West Indies against Afghanistan in Lucknow and has made steady progress in West Indies colours. He had a purple patch in T20Is against Australia in June 2021 when he took 12 wickets in the five matches played in St Lucia. His ODI performances have also been impressive, and he took a maiden five-for (5-39) against the Aussies in Barbados a week later. He was named as a member of the West Indies 15-member squad to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. Walsh comes from a cricketing family. His father Hayden Walsh Sr and his uncle Vaughan Walsh both represented Antigua & Barbuda and the Leeward Islands in the 1980s and 90s. He was born in St Croix in the United States Virgin Islands, and represented the USA in white-ball formats before his selection to the West Indies.
