West Indies Super50 Cup - bigger, better, faster

St John’s, ANTIGUA – Not only has Cricket West Indies signed a four-year deal with ESPN International to extend live TV coverage of the West Indies Super50 Cup, it has added a few new partners and features to promote the exciting rivalries for this competition.

Suzuki Caribbean with the Caribbean’s favourite SUV, the Suzuki Vitara, has become an official partner of the Super50 Cup and will provide some fantastic activities to support high performance fast bowling, one of the great strengths of West Indies cricket. High performance fast bowling statistics and features will be broadcast live on ESPN Caribbean and internationally, The high-performance speed gun “powered by Suzuki” will be one of the new features and will test the speed of the tournament’s fast bowlers with a highlights feature of the fastest bowling shown within the live broadcast and shared through social media

Windiescricket.com and the Windies Cricket YouTube channel will feature more live matches and highlights than ever before, and for the first time, 30 second clips from big moments in the ESPN live games will be on social media within 15 minutes of a wicket falling, an amazing piece of fielding or a brilliant piece of batting. Full video highlights of all live games will be available on the Windiescricket YouTube channel the day after every game.

In the broadcast schedule for television, radio and live streaming – all 43 matches can be seen and heard on several platforms across ESPN International (13 live matches with all the frills, thrills and exciting plays). The remaining 30 matches will be featured on WINDIES Cricket YouTube Channel, www.windiescricket.com and on select radio stations across the region.

In the USA, Willow TV and Willow’s online App will feature the Super50 for the first time on a non-exclusive basis. BT Sport and BT Sport Extra in the UK will also broadcast 24 days to include the semi finals and FINAL. The ESPN Player broadband will also have the Super50 in all of Europe.

The Super50 presents the region’s best one-day cricket rivalries and one-day talent. All players have the opportunity to perform and aim to be a part of the WINDIES’ Team for the Cricket World Cup 2019, due in the UK next May to July.
