OFF-SPINNER ANISA CHATS WITH NEWBIES DURING WEST INDIES CAMP IN ANTIGUA

Veteran West Indies Women’s off-spinner and leading T20I wicket-taker (male or female) Anisa Mohammed had a chat with two of the “newbies” who joined the West Indies Women for camp over the last month in Antigua. Kaycia Schultz is a left-arm off-spinner from Guyana, while Steffi Soogrim is an Under-19 off-spinner from Trinidad and Tobago. Kaycia impressed the West Indies Women’s coaches during the CWI Women’s Championship earlier this year in Guyana, so much so that her name was one of the first added after the senior players. Soogrim who helped Trinidad and Tobago win the girl 19 and under tournament, was another standout who the coaches felt deserved an addition. These two youngsters will no doubt have relished the opportunity to interact and train with the likes of West Indies Women’s captain Stafanie Taylor, Hayley Matthews, Shakera Selman and Anisa Mohammed.

So let’s get to know what these young ladies have learnt and how was their first experience training with the West Indies Women’s team.
