Super50: Venue changed for Saturday's match - Pride v Canada

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Cricket West Indies has approved a change in venue for the game between Barbados Pride and Canada scheduled for Saturday in the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup.

The match was originally scheduled to be a day/night game contested at Warner Park, but it will now be a daytime game played at the Conaree Cricket Centre, starting at 9 a.m.

The change occurred following a request from the St. Kitts Cricket Association, due to logistical reasons.

Also, the Technical Committee of Super50 Cup has approved batsman Michail Powell as a replacement for injured pacer Ojay Shields in the Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners.

Shields suffered a lower back strain in the Marooners game against Jamaica Scorpions last Tuesday at Warner Park.

This is the second injury replacement for the Marooners in the tournament, after wicketkeeper/batsman Gian Benjamin replaced opener Abhijai Mansingh.

Mansingh was ruled out of the remaining games, after suffering a shoulder injury when Marooners played against Barbados Pride two Saturdays ago at Warner Park.
