CWI World Cup 50th Anniversary Logo Earns Silver ADDY Award
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua - The commemorative logo created for the 2025 Cricket West Indies / West Indies Players’ Association Awards Gala, honoring the 50th anniversary of the 1975 Cricket World Cup, has received a Silver ADDY Award at the 2026 American Advertising Awards Caribbean competition.

The American Advertising Awards, commonly known as the ADDYs, is the advertising industry’s largest competition recognizing creative excellence across design, advertising, and marketing communications. The regional competition is organized by the Caribbean Advertising Federation, the first and only non-American member of the American Advertising Federation.
The 2025 CWI / WIPA Awards Gala celebrated the legacy and achievements of West Indies cricket while paying tribute to the historic 1975 World Cup triumph led by captain Sir Clive Lloyd, a defining moment that cemented the region’s place in global cricket history. The specially designed anniversary logo served as the visual centerpiece of the Gala’s branding, blending heritage and celebration while reflecting the lasting global influence of West Indies players.
President of Cricket West Indies, Dr. The Hon. Kishore Shallow, said the recognition represents more than creative achievement:
“This award reflects the profound significance of the 50th anniversary of the 1975 World Cup and its champions. It stands as a tribute not only to a historic sporting milestone but to the enduring legacy of that victorious West Indies team.
The commemorative logo developed in collaboration with Always On Creative is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when West Indian creative minds unite in pursuit of excellence. This ADDY Award is not merely symbolic. It is a testament to collaboration, imagination, and regional pride.
I wish to specially commend graphic designer Sergio Charles, along with Tashida Callender, Jamal Slocombe, and La Donna Williams for their collective dedication and attention to detail in executing this critical element of the undertaking. Their work alongside the planning committee has produced an icon that will endure and be proudly utilized for years to come.”
The Awards Gala was jointly chaired by Cricket West Indies Independent Director Debra Coryat-Patton and WIPA Secretary Wayne Lewis in Barbados on 22 June 2025.
The award-winning design was created by Sergio Charles, co-founder and senior graphic designer of Always On Creative. He stated:
“As an ardent West Indies cricket supporter, I welcomed the opportunity to contribute to a project that honors such a defining moment in our sporting history. The 1975 World Cup victory remains a source of immense pride for the region, and it was a privilege to help visually capture that legacy through this commemorative mark. This recognition also affirms the strength and potential of Caribbean creative talent.”
The American Advertising Awards recognize outstanding creative work across the advertising industry and serve as the first stage of a three-tier competition that honors excellence at local, regional, and national levels.
