Rising Stars seeking first win of ICC U19 Men's World Cup campaign

The West Indies Rising Stars Under 19 Men’s team will take on Scotland on Wednesday in their second match of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup being played in South Africa.

The Rising Stars are seeking their first win of the competition after having lost their opening match to the hosts by 31 runs. Despite a brilliant, maiden century by Jewel Andrew, the Rising Stars top order failed to trouble the young Proteas bowlers, and will definitely be on their cards to improve on against the Scots.

With clear focus, Andrew was happy to execute when his teammates failed to add to the runs. He said:

“I was really happy with my performance; I was clear when I was about to approach my innings and execute my plans. From a team perspective I was a bit disappointed that we weren’t able to come out victorious, nevertheless we fought hard.”
