West Indies donate signed bat to Pediatrics Assistance League

The West Indies cricket team made a special donation to a very worthy cause while in St Kitts for the second and third matches of the Sandals T20 International Series. During the recent matches against Ireland at Warner Park, captain Kieron Pollard presented an autographed bat. The donation was made to the Pediatrics Assistance League of St Kitts & Nevis (PALS) – a long-standing charity which looks after the wellbeing of children on the island.

The bat will be used at a fundraiser event on Saturday, February 15 at the Spice Mill Restaurant. At this event the bat will be one of the prizes at a live auction at the event. On hand to collect the bat were: Giselle Matthews, president of PALS, Carolyn Chisolm, treasurer of PALS, and Brandon Brisbane, a junior member of PALS.

Rawl Lewis, manager of the West Indies team spoke on behalf of the team.

We want to applaud PALS on their great work within the communities across St Kitts and Nevis for close to 30 years in facilitating the well-being, treatment and saving lives of children. We were delighted to present them with the signed bat for their charity event and we hope it goes a long way in assisting the little ones in need.
