Leewards limited to 124-7, Jamaicans need 125 to win
Leeward Islands made 124-7 off their 20 overs after deciding to bat first in Match 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday night. Jamaica will need 125 to win off their 20 overs. Tonito Willet topscored with 37 off 35 balls, including two fours and a six.
There was also good batting by Javier Liburd (25) and Runako Morton (22). The innings was given a late boost by wicket-keeper Kerry Mentore who smashed 15 with two massive sixes. The best bowlers for Jamaica was left-arm seamer Krishmar Santokie (3-20 off four overs) and off-spinner Chris Gayle (2-18 off four overs).
