Mentore hits 48 not out to push Leewards to 161

Leeward Islands posted a challenging 161-7 off their 20 overs against Trinidad and Tobago in Match 6 of the West Indies Cricket Board's Caribbean T20 Tournament on Saturday night at Kensington Oval, Barbados. Trinidad and Tobago will have to score at 8.1 runs an over to win the match and join Jamaica on eight points at the top of the Group A standings.

Kerry Mentore, the rookie wicket-keeper in just his second match, played a mature role with 48 not out off 38 balls including three boundaries and two sixes as the Leewards attacked the bowling from the start. The other batsmen maintained the momentum with Javier Luburd (39), Wilden Cornwall (22) and Kadeem Phillip (20) playing some powerful strokes.
