Bajan openers off to great start against Dominicans
The Barbados opener Kycia Knight and Charlene Taitt have given their team a good start in their West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League match against Dominica on Friday. The two have so far put on 62 off just 9.2 overs but there was a break in play due to rain at Arnos Vale 2. Knight, who is a national representative in track and field and football, is on 31 not out, while Taitt, who has played 16 ODIs for the West Indies, is on 20 not out.
Guyana have also moved along well against Grenada at Stubbs, reaching 65-1 in the 29th over. The two other matches have been interrupted by a sudden shower. Jamaica reached 10-0 in the fourth over against St Lucia at Victoria Park, while defending champs Trinidad and Tobago reached 28-2 off 14 overs against St Vincent and the Grenadines at Arnos Vale 1.
