Vincentians bat first against Jamaicans; Trinis bat first against Bajans

Kingstown, St Vincent: The stage is set for today’s semi-finals in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League. In the first match at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2, Jamaica won the toss and sent St Vincent and the Grenadines in to bat. The Vincentians reached 29-0 at the end of the eighth over. Opener Juliana Nero is on 16 not out.

In the other clash at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1, defending champs Trinidad and Tobago do battle with arch rivals Barbados. The Trinidadians were sent in to bat and found themselves on the backfoot on 8-2 in seventh over. One of the wickets to fall was that of Gaitri Seetahal, who has been in good form with the bat for the defending champs.

In the play-offs, Grenada were on 17-0 against St Lucia at Stubbs, while rain has caused a delay in the start of the match between Dominica and Guyana at Victoria Park.
