Vincentians and Trinis hold the upper hand in Women's semi-finals
Kingston, St Vincent: Jamaica are tottering on 52-6 after 25 overs trying to get a victory target of 129 in 50 overs against St Vincent and the Grenadines in their semi-final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League. Carrying the fight for Jamaica is left-hander Shanel Daley who is on 22 not out at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2. The Jamaicans will now need to get 77 runs in the last 25 overs, while the home side will be looking to get the last four wickets and secure a spot in Wednesday’s final.
In the other semi-final, Barbados are in trouble on 50-3 at the end of the 15th over trying to get the challenging 219-6 made defending champions Trinidad and Tobago. The key to the Bajan batting is experienced right-hander Pamela Lavine, on 23 not out. The winners of the two semi-finals will meet in the final on Wednesday at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1.
