Anisa Mohammed takes 2-10 off 10 overs as Trinis take control

Kingstown, St Vincent: Trinidad and Tobago off-spinner Anisa Mohammed has maintained the pressure on the St Vincent and the Grenadines batters in the final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1, on Wednesday. Mohammed, the captain and West Indies player, had the amazing figures of two wickets for 10 runs from 10 overs to limit the home side to 64-3 off 29 overs.

The Vincentians were going along slowly and managed just 29 runs in the last 18 overs. The main batter at the crease is opener Juliana Nero on 44. The batters to go so far are Samantha Lynch via the run out route, while Clea Hoyte and captain Cordel Jack were both caught in the leg-side off Mohammed.

In the third place match, Jamaica were tottering on 68-5 off 18 overs against Barbados at Stubbs. In the fifth place match Guyana were in 69-2 off 24 overs against St Lucia at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2. In the seventh place match, Dominica were 46-3 off 21 overs.
