Taylor scores second ODI century as Windies rattle up 283-6
Potchefstroom, South Africa – West Indies star player Stafanie Taylor made a record-breaking century against the Netherlands on Wednesday as the Windies made a great start to the ICC Challenge at the Witrand CC in Potchefstroom. Taylor, the 19-year-old right-hander made a career-best 147 as the West Indies made 283-6 off their 50 overs. She struck 15 boundaries and a six off just 141 balls to guide the innings.
It was Taylor’s second ODI century – making her the first West Indian women to make two centuries at the international level and also the highest ever ODI score by a West Indian woman. Deandra Dottin, also batted well to make 59 off 58 balls – her third ODI half-century. Her knock included six boundaries and two sixes. She added 113 of just 16 overs with Taylor as they went on an all-out attack.
