Sri Lanka make two changes for 2nd Test at Premadasa

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka have made two changes to the squad to face the West Indies in the 2nd ERI Test match at the Premadasa Stadium in the capital city of Colombo, on Tuesday. Following the draw in the 1st Test at Galle International Stadium, the home side have dropped fast bowlers Dammika Prasad and Thilan Thushara.

They have called up experienced seamer Nuwan Kulasekara, after a year-long absence, and right-arm pacer Shaminda Eranga. The 24-year-old Eranga could make his Test debut after being included in the 16-member squad. Kulasekara, who is seen as a limited-overs specialist, played the last of his 11 Tests against India in a year ago.

Chairman of selectors Aravinda de Silva said Sri Lanka are trying to find the right combination of fast bowlers to share the new ball in Test matches as their main spearhead Lasith Malinga was unavailable.
