Hampshire & T&T prevail on Day 4 of CT20
North Sound, Antigua – Hampshire Royals pulled off a stunning Super Over win against Barbados on Day 4 of the Caribbean Twenty20 2011 while Trinidad & Tobago thumped Leeward Islands by 56 runs to register their first win in their opening game.
In the first game of the day Hampshire, led by some exquisite fast bowler by Simon Jones and Barbados played to a tie then Barbados failed to score any runs in their Super Over as Hampshire scrambled the single to win.
Trinidad and Tobago then crushed Leewards as Lendl Simmons blasted 83 from 62 balls as T&T posted 153 for 5. Ravi Rampaul then followed up with the best figures in regional T20 as the Leewards folded meekly for 97. Rampaul took 5 wickets for 9 runs.
