Barbados crush hapless Canada

Bridgetown, Barbados – Barbados, needing to win to remain in the hunt for a semi final spot, crushed Canada in a domineering rain affected performance.

Dwayne Smith plundered half a dozen sixes and three fours in 66 from 40 balls.

Jimmy Hansra picked up three wickets as the Bajans failed to capitalized on Smith’s power start and ended on 139 for 7 from 20 overs.

Canada lost five batsmen for 29 when rain finally brought an end to the proceedings. All five of the batsmen were dismissed for ducks as Javon Searles had a field day, plucking four wickets for 5 runs from 3 overs to wrestle the Star of the Match award away from Smith.
