Rampant Trinis brutalize Barbados
Bridgetown, Barbados – On a night when they needed to in to qualify for the Caribbean Twenty20 semi final, Barbados were humiliated by a rampant Trinidad and Tobago before a bumper holiday crowd.
Chasing 166 for 7 made by the Trinidadians the Bajans capitulated to 115 for 9 in their 20 overs without a single batsman reaching 30 as the visitors completed spanking 50 run win on Errol Barrow Day at Kensington Oval.
Trinidad & Tobago will play Jamaica in the semi final while Windward Islands will play Hampshire Royals who get into the semi by virtue of the Barbadian loss.
The exciting super talent Darren Bravo made a breathtaking 70 from 35 balls at a run rate of 200 and inclusive of four sizzling fours and 5 incredulous sixes as he led the Trinis to their eventual score with assistance from Lendl Simmons’ 53.
