WICB 4 Day: Lunch: Day 1, Round 1

After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Guyana held Jamaica to 64 for 3 by lunch on day one of the WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament at Alpart in Jamaica. Opening bowlers Esuan Crandon and Brandon Bess along with leg spinner Devendra Bishoo each picked up a wicket as the Guyanese had a successful first session.

The not out batsmen are Brendan Nash who is on 13 and captain Tamar Lambert on 5 as 25 overs have been delivered.

Jamaica suffered major set backs when they lost the in form Marlon Samuels for 13, Danza Hyatt for 3 and Simon Jackson for 26.


Combined Campuses and Colleges were struggling on 73 for 5 at lunch against the Windward Islands at 3Ws Oval in Barbados.

CCC lost the wickets of captain Omar Phillips (19), Romel Currency (8), Kjorn Ottley (14), Kyle Corbin (0) and Ramon Reifer (9) as the Windwards bowlers combined to break the back of the batting.

Keron Cottoy has taken 2 for 12 from 5 overs while captain Liam Sebastian, Kenroy Peters and Garey Mathurin have picked up one wicket apiece.


At Warner Park England Lions, led by a positive half century from Adam Lyth reached the interval at 97 for 2. Lyth made a stroke filled 55 before he fell to a fine catch by Omari Banks of the medium pace of Tonito Willett.

Anthony Martin (8-4-17-1) was the other wicket-taker as he removed Jimmy Adams via the lbw route for 8. 

Ravi Bopara, hunting a return to the England senior team, is at the crease on 26 alongside captain James Hildreth who has 6.


No play was possible in the first session at Guaracara Park in the headlining encounter between arch rival Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. Early morning showers caused seepage on one of the adjoining pitches and after two inspections by the umpires the rains returned and resulted in no play.
