Windies bat first in warm-up vs Kenya

Colombo, Sri Lanka – The West Indies were asked to bat first after Kenya won the toss in their first official warm-up match ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup.

West Indies will be without powerhitters Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard for this match, being played at the refurbished R Premadsaa Stadium in the inner city community of Khettarama. Also on the bench are left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn and pacer Ravi Rampaul.

Before the first ball both team and match officials were met by Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who did the official re-opening of the historic venue.
