Pakistan Women to tour Caribbean next month

St John’s, Antigua – World rated players Stafanie Taylor, Deandra Dottin and Anisa Mohammed will be back in action for the Windies Women as the Pakistan Women’s team will next month embark on an eight match tour of the Caribbean. The tour will start on August 28 in St Vincent and conclude on September 11 in Guyana. In another first for regional women’s cricket, Guyana will host the inaugural international day/night women’s match in the Caribbean.

WICB President hails massive turnout by Dominican fans

Roseau, Dominica – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr Julian Hunte has lauded the people of Dominica for their overwhelming support of the game of cricket during the just concluded inaugural Test match on that island. Fans turned out in their thousands to watch the West Indies and India do battle in the Third and final Digicel Test at Windsor Park, the first Test match at the scenic venue.

WICB applauds Shiv on record

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board has congratulated Shivnarine Chanderpaul on becoming the most capped Test player in the history of West Indies Cricket. The 36-year-old left-hander started his 133rdTest match on Wednesday as the West Indies face India in the inaugural Test match at Windsor Park, Dominica.

Speaking on Wednesday, President of the WICB Dr Julian Hunte, hailed Chanderpaul for his longevity, tenacity, commitment and his amazing ability to accumulate big runs during his 17-year international career.

Dominica ready to host historic first Test

Roseau, Dominica – The stage is set for the first Test match on the island of Dominica. West Indies captain Darren Sammy said his team is excited by the prospect as they face India in the Third and final Digicel Test at Windsor Park – the newest Test venue on the world stage. First ball is 10 am (9 am Jamaica Time).
