Windies stumble to 7 wkt loss

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – New-look West Indies suffered more agony on Monday when they slumped to a seven-wicket loss to Pakistan in the second One-Day International, to fall behind 2-0 in the five match series.

Their batsmen, tormented by the Pakistani spinners, could only produce 220 all out off their 50 overs and their bowling, again lacking penetration, hardly troubled the visitors who strolled to victory with two overs to spare at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.

Pakistan fashion comprehensive 8 wkt win

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – West Indies lacked the firepower to defend their moderate total and Pakistan capitalised to cruise to an uncomplicated eight-wicket win in the opening One-Day International of the five-match series here Saturday.

After posting 221 for six from their 50 overs, the hosts’ bowlers failed to find the penetration and discipline necessary to smother Pakistan as the tourists easily overhauled their target with over eight overs left at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.
