PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Manager of the Sri Lankan national women’s team ARM Aroos believes his team can be competitive and spark a turnaround in their fortunes against the West Indies in the third T20 International at the Queen’s Park  Oval in Port-of-Spain today at 2 pm.

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS - Stand-in captain Stafanie Taylor has praised West Indies Women for what she has described as perhaps their best day ever in the field.

The hosts turned in a tremendous all-round effort here Wednesday to beat Sri Lanka by seven runs in the second Twenty20 International of the five-match series and take a vital 2-0 lead.

Terrific Taylor gives Windies 2-0 lead

Bridgetown, Barbados --  Captain Stafanie Taylor had the perfect allround performance to lead West Indies Women to a superb victory by seven runs in the second T20 International at Kensington Oval on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Jamaican proved why she is the best female player in the world at the moment as she starred with both bat and ball to give her side a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Captain Taylor hits blistering 62

West Indies Women went on the rampage in the last five overs, thumping 47 runs, as they rattled up 129 runs for four wickets off their 20 overs in the second T20 International at Kensington Oval. A boundary-studded fifth-wicket stand of 46 off 36 balls between captain Stafanie Taylor and teenager Shemaine Campbelle boosted the Windies cause at the ‘death’.
