Windies girls won't be daunted

MUMBAI, India, CMC – Captain Merissa Aguilleira says West Indies have not been daunted by their opening loss to Australia and remain confident they can hit back and still qualify for the Super Six, second round stage of the ICC Women’s World Cup.

The Caribbean side suffered a heavy 105-run loss to Australia in the tournament opener on Thursday, leaving them bottom of the four-team Group A without a point with just two games remaining.

Campbell still upbeat despite heavy loss

MUMBAI, India – Sherwin Campbell said he was confident that West Indies Women’s would rebound from their heavy defeat in their opening match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2013.

The Windies Women’s coach said he felt his side had the resources to fight back, after hosts India Women beat them by 105 runs on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium.
