Women cricketers agree weather could be a factor in outcome

Kingston, Jamaica - The Jamaican weather could be one of the deciding factors when the West Indies Women take on New Zealand in a three-match One-Day International Series starting at Sabina Park on Sunday.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sherwin Campbell, the head coach of West Indies Women’s cricket team, says the Caribbean side will be ready for the home series against New Zealand.

Campbell made the statement following the poor batting display in a 50-over practice match against Jamaica’s Under-17 boys’ team at Up Park Camp on Thursday.

Kingston, Jamaica - New Zealand's Women's cricket coach, Katrina Keenan, said after taking the off-season to rebuild and prepare, they are looking forward to a rematch with West Indies Women.

Kingston, Jamaica – New Zealand women’s cricket team arrived in Jamaica on Tuesday  for what their coach Katrina Keenan believes will be a tough series against West Indies Women.

Keenan, who said “women’s cricket is getting very competitive internationally” believes the series in the Caribbean, which includes One-Day International against the West Indies and a Twenty20 Series with West Indies and England, will come down to the team that prepared the best.
