Windies win toss, bat first
New Delhi, India -- West Indies captain Darren Sammy won the toss and decided to bat first in the opening match of the three-Test series at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Sunday.
West Indies recalled fast bowler Ravi Rampaul to replace Kemar Roach from the team which won the series-clinching Test match against Bangladesh in Dhaka last week.
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and pace bowler Umesh Yadav were given their first Test caps.
