Lunch Update: Leeward Islands v. Trinidad & Tobago (TCL Group West Indies Under 19)

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – The Leeward Islands, set 270 to beat Trinidad & Tobago, reached 18 for four when rain stopped play early on the third and final day of their third-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 match on Wednesday at the Carlton Sports Club.

Trinidad & Tobago declared at their overnight 109 for seven and rain stopped play at 10:28 local time, with the Leeward Islands less than half an hour into their second innings.

Umpires decided on an early lunch at 11:50 am.

Lunch Update: Barbados v. Guyana (TCL Group West Indies Under 19)

WILDEY, Barbados (CMC) – Guyana, replying to the Barbados first innings total of 300 for eight declared, were 46 for two at lunch on the third and final day of their third-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 match on Wednesday at Cable & Wireless Sports Club.


Rain forced the players off the field soon after the start and there was no further play in the morning session.

Lunch Update: Windward Islands v. Jamaica (TCL Group West Indies Under 19)

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) - Windward Islands, chasing 126 runs to beat Jamaica, reached 47 without loss at lunch as rain stopped play early on the third and final day of their third-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 match on Wednesday at Kensington Oval.


Rain chased the players off the field at 10.11 am local time and there was no further play in the session.

Rain ruins Barbados versus Guyana Under 19 Clash

WILDEY, Barbados (CMC) – Barbados, sent in to bat, reached 96 for two in their first innings at the tea break on the opening day of their third round match in the TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge against Guyana on Monday at the Cable & Wireless Sports Club.

Play was restricted after rain prevented any play before lunch in this top of the table clash.

Windward Islands spinners rip through Jamaica Under 19s

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – Spin bowlers Keron Cottoy and Dalton Polius combined for eight wickets to wreck Jamaica’s batting on a rain-affected opening day of their third-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 match on Monday.

 Jamaica dramatically lost their last six wickets for the addition of just 11 runs and were bowled out for 174 as leg-spinner Cottoy picked up five wickets and off-spinner Polius snared three wickets.
