Jamaican Michael Muirhead appointed new WICB CEO

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that accomplished management consultant Michael Muirhead has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the regional governing body.

The Board of Directors approved Mr. Muirhead’s appointment at a meeting in Barbados at the weekend. Mr. Muirhead’s appointment is for three years.

WICB thanks Dr Hilaire for service

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board at a meeting of the Board of Directors at the weekend formally thanked the departing Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ernest Hilaire for his service to West Indies cricket.

Dr. Hilaire, after serving the full term of his thee year contract, is preparing to demit office at the end of September.

Bajans win again in Under-15 tourney

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, Jul 28, CMC – Barbados crushed Leeward Islands to record their fourth straight win as Trinidad and Tobago and Windward Islands also secured victories on the final day of the fourth round of matches in the Regional Under-15 Championship here Saturday.

Playing at Warner Park, Barbados pulled off a 186-run win behind another strong all-rounder performance, to put one hand on the trophy with one series of matches left in the tournament.
