Windies A in sight of victory

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, Nov 14, CMC – Exciting all-rounder Andre Russell’s five-wicket haul coupled with crucial half-century stand between opener Danza Hyatt and Jonathan Carter, put West Indies A in sight of victory on the third day of the second four-day “Test” against Bangladesh A on Monday.

Russell snatched five for 36 to help rout Bangladesh A for 187, after they resumed the day at the Beausejour Cricket Ground on 40 without loss.

Springer impressed with Russell

Beausejour, St Lucia – West Indies A Team Head Coach Hendy Springer continues to be impressed with his fast bowling charge Andre Russell as the Digicel Series between the regional reserves and Bangaldesh A continues.

“He has bowled really well in this match and in fact I think he should have gotten ten wickets in the match and not nine,” Springer commented at the end of the third day’s play of the Second Digicel Test at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.

Bangladesh A lead on rain affected Day 2

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – Bangladesh A, leading by 26 runs on first innings, were 40 without loss in their second innings at the close of the second day of the second four-day “Test” against West Indies A at the Beausejour Cricket Ground here Sunday.

Rain ruins start of Day 2

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, Nov 13, CMC – Heavy overnight and early morning rain has ruined any chance of play before lunch on the second day of the second and final four-day “Test” between West Indies A and Bangladesh A at the Beausejour Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Officials are expected to make another inspection at 12:30 pm to determine a start time for play.

West Indies A are set to resume on 72 for seven in response to Bangladesh A’s first innings of 155 all out.
