Holder wants to “keep growing"

St. George’s, Grenada — Jason Holder is big, very big. He stands six feet, seven inches tall with broad shoulders and is an imposing figure.

The 20-year-old all-rounder says however, he still has a lot of “growing” to do on the cricket field and wants that growth to be demonstrated during the upcoming three-match Digicel One-day series against India-A.

Benn wins T20 with bat and ball

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn turned in a brilliant Man-of-the-Match performance to lift West Indies A team to an unlikely come-from-behind win over India A in the first Twenty20 on Saturday night.

The beanpole left-hander took three wickets in one over and then blasted 15 runs in the final over as the Windies won by three wickets with just two balls to spare at Queen’s Park Oval.

Borde backs Powell as captain

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, CMC – West Indies A team manager Colin Borde wants young opener Kieran Powell to make the most of his appointment as captain for the Digicel Twenty20 double-header against India A this weekend.

The 22-year-old, already hailed as one of the Caribbean’s brightest prospects, was earlier this week named to lead the 13-man squad.
