Daley fights but Windies lose fifth ODI

Rajkot, India – Shanel Daley made a career-best 63 but it failed to guide the West Indies Women to a series win over India on Wednesday.

The compact left-hander from Jamaica hit six boundaries in her 112-ball innings, as Windies fell for 131 off 45.4 over, to lose by 57 runs at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground.

Windies and India set for decider on Tuesday

Rajkot, India – West Indies Women lost to India Women by 10 runs on Monday to leave the five-match One-Day International Series level 2-2, with one match to play.

Batting second on a good pitch, the Windies girls made 206 off 49.5 overs after they restricted the India to 216-4 off their 50 overs at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground.

Windies girls win to take 2-1 lead

Vadodara, India – West Indies Women beat India Women by three wickets on Saturday to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match One-Day International Series. The Windies girls fought hard to reach 159-7 off 49.2 overs – to win with four balls to spare, after they bowled out the Indians for 156 off 48.2 overs at Reliance Stadium.

WICB & CMC announce major TV rights deal for Digicel Series


St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board and the Caribbean Media Corporation have announced a major television distribution rights deal for the Digicel Series for the next 2 years.

CMC will have the rights for live broadcast of the upcoming Digicel Series 2011 between West Indies and world Test champions India along with Pakistan and in 2012 when the West Indies host Australia and New Zealand.

CT20 full of action on first three days

North South, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 came to life on Wednesday night with two exciting finishes in Group A at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Defending champions Guyana too four wickets in the last over to defeat Somerset Sabres by one run in the opening match of the day. In the night match, Combined Campuses & Colleges timed their run-chase to perfection to beat Jamaica by 7 wickets with an over to spare.
