Windies still have belief

Bridgetown, Barbados – West Indies will continue to fight to stay in the game as they approach the fifth and final day of the Second Digicel Test match against India at Kensington Oval on Saturday

Both Head Coach Ottis Gibson and skipper Darren Sammy have back the team to earn a positive result. India, who lead the three-match series 1-0, are ahead by 240 runs with seven second innings wickets in hand. They are expected to set the Windies a winning target on what could be an exciting final day.

Laxman digs in as India lead by 240

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – VVS Laxman struck his second half-century of the match and was marching towards his 17 Test century as India continued to grind out a big lead on the fourth day of the Second Digicel Test on Friday.

At the close, the visitors were comfortably placed at 229 for three, a lead of 240 runs with the final day looming on Saturday at Kensington Oval. Laxman was unbeaten on 72 to follow up his first innings 85, and was involved in an unbroken 75-run, fourth wicket stand with Virat Kohli who was undefeated on 26 at the close.

Tea Day 4: India lead by 154

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – Veteran right-hander Rahul Dravid was grinding his way towards his 60th half-century as India continued to build their second innings lead at tea on the fourth day of the Second Digicel Test against West Indies on Friday.

Samuels determined to get "big scores"

Bridgetown, Barbados – Marlon Samuels played with great determination to make 78 not out on Thursday but the West Indies fell for 190 – 11 short on first innings on the third day of the Second Digicel Test match against India. The visitors will resume Friday on 23-0.
