Windwards triumph to reach semis

Gros Islet, St Lucia – A five-wicket haul by left arm spinner Gary Mathurin and an unbroken, third wicket partnership of 48 between Keddy Lesporis and Johnson Charles steered Windward Islands to an easy eight-wicket win over Leeward Islands on Monday.

Set 99 to win the final round encounter of the WICB First Class Championship, the Windwards coasted to their target with no worries at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, completing victory 20 minutes before tea on the final day.

CCC celebrate top finish

Bridgetown, Barbados – The Combined Campuses & Colleges are celebrating an excellent season in the West Indies Cricket Board Regional 4 Day Tournament.

The league portion of the season ended on Monday, with the Barbados-based team topping the table with 57 points from seven matches. They finished five points ahead of Trinidad and Tobago (52), while Jamaica and England Lions were joint third on 51 points. The other points were: Windward Islands (41), Barbados (27), Leeward Islands (19) and Guyana (16).

Semi-finalists decided in 4-Day Tourney

St John’s, Antigua – The semi-final line-ups have been decided for the WICB First-Class Championships, following play on the final day of the seventh round of the league competition.

Combined Campuses will play against Windward Islands in Barbados, while Trinidad and Tobago will host Jamaica. The matches will be played from Friday, April 1 to Monday, April 4.
