Windies ODI Series in Sri Lanka officially off, new dates to be announced

Hambantota, Sri Lanka -- The five-match One-Day International Series between West Indies and Sri Lanka is officially off.
The series was slated to start today with a day/night match at the new Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in the suburb of Suriyawewa, but heavy rain continued and no play was possible. The officials of Sri Lanka Cricket then made the decision to call off the series.
The West Indies Cricket Board and Sri Lanka Cricket will have discussions on the new dates for the series.

West Indies and Sri Lanka switch to ODIs

Hambantota, Sri Lanka – The five-match One-Day International Series between West Indies and Sri Lanka is due to bowl off on Thursday afternoon. The two teams are in the southern coastal town of Hambantota for the opening match, which will be the first at the new Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in the suburb of Suriyawewa. First ball in the day/night encounter is 2.30 pm (5 am Eastern Caribbean Time/4 am Jamaica Time).

Roach named Man-of-the-Series as West Indies draw in Sri Lanka

Kandy, Sri Lanka – West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach bowled his heart out to earn the Man-of-the-Series award in the just concluded three-match rubber against Sri Lanka.  The Test series, which was heavily hit by rain, ended on Sunday when the third Test was declared a draw.
