Experience of a lifetime for US kids

Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- It was thought to be the most unusual place for cricket, but for kids who came out to the Digicel Cricket Experience in Lauderhill, Florida it was the perfect venue.

Thomas - All credit to WICB development

CROWN POINT, TOBAGO - Windward Islands Head Coach, Clifford Thomas, has praised the West Indies Cricket Board’s, Digicel’s Grassroots Programme and Scotiabank’s Kiddy Cricket for the development of cricket on the islands over the last year.

Russell, Best back for ODIs

Fort Lauderdale, Florida CMC – West Indies selectors have called up fast bowler Tino Best and all-rounder Andre Russell to the 13-man squad for the first two One-Day Internationals against New Zealand to be played this week in Jamaica.

Both players participated in the recent ODI series in England but were overlooked for the Twenty20 International doubleheader in Florida. Leg-spinner Samuel Badree and fast bowler Fidel Edwards, who featured in those two matches this weekend, are both out of the squad.

Narine leaves NZ spellbound

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Sunil Narine shone brighter than the Sunday sun in south Florida as he produced a magical bowling spell to pilot West Indies to a huge win in the second Digicel T20 International.

The off-spinner routed New Zealand with four wickets in four overs as Windies won the match by 62 runs and the series 2-0 as the home side enjoyed a successful weekend at the Central Broward Regional Park.

Man of Series goes to Gayle

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Chris Gayle proved once again on Sunday why he is one of the most feared batsmen in world cricket as he piloted West Indies to back-to-back wins over New Zealand.

The powerful left-hander made 53 off 39 balls with four sixes as West Indies won by 61 runs. On Saturday Gayle made 85 not out as the home side won by 56 runs as the West Indies mark a successful start to international cricket in the United States.
