Brilliant Kirk Edwards gets ton on Test debut

Roseau, Dominica – Kirk Edwards made a brilliant century in just his second Test innings as West Indies fought back against India on the fourth evening of the Third Digicel Test match at Windsor Park.

He was cheered by the vocal and colourful crowd of 7,000 fans who packed into the Park for the country’s inaugural Test match. Edwards, a strongly-built six-footer, was on 100 not out as the West Indies reached 189-3 in the second innings., He has so far added 149 for the fourth wicket with Shiv Chanderpaul (59 not out).

Tea Day 4: Debutant Kirk Edwards hits maiden Test 50

Roseau, Dominica, CMC – Kirk Edwards stroked a maiden half-century, and shared a defiant fourth-wicket stand with Shivnarine Chanderpaul to help West Indies stage a fight-back against India before tea in the Third Digicel Test on Saturday.

At the break, Edwards was unbeaten on 62 and Chanderpaul was not out on 25, as West Indies, trailing by 143 on first innings, reached 116 for three in their second innings on the fourth day at Windsor Park.

Baugh goes on "attack", plays natural game

Roseau, Dominica – Carlton Baugh played a brilliant counter-attacking knock for the West Indies against India on the second day of the Third Digicel Test match at Windsor Park on Thursday.

The small keeper topscored with 60 as the West Indies were bowled out for 204 on another rain-shortened day. India reached eight without loss shortly after tea, before rain ended the day.
