Red Force ready to stampede rivals

BENGALURU, India, CMC – Trinidad & Tobago arrived in the Garden City on Wednesday, looking ahead to roll over the Mumbai Indians in their first match of Group-A in the Champions League Twenty20 on Monday.

The Caribbean T20 champions topped Pool-B in the six-team qualification phase, and will now join the Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Cape Cobras, and New South Wales Blues in Group-A of the main draw.

Gibson: We've got exciting players

London, England CMC – West Indies got down to business on Wednesday with their first training session ahead of the two Twenty20 International against England this weekend at The Oval.

Coach Ottis Gibson remained confident about the visitors’ chances, although the side has been forced to travel to England without a number of leading players.

Bonner feels Oval atmosphere

London, England – Nkrumah Bonner set foot on the historic Kia Oval cricket ground for the first time on Wednesday and immediately felt a difference. The 22-year-old dreamed all his life of one day having the opportunity to play at one of the game’s most historic venues and even though it was just a training session, he could feel the occasion.

Windies Under 19 depart for India

Bridgetown, Barbados– The West Indies Under 19 team will depart from Barbados on Wednesday evening for India, where they will take on India Under 19, Sri Lanka Under 19 and Australia Under 19 in a 50 Over series. The matches will be played from September 27 to October 9 and will be used as preparations for the International Cricket Council’s Under 19 World Cup, to be played in Australia in August 2012.
