Bishoo feeling the Test Match vibes

Chittagong, Bangladesh – Devendra Bishoo is “big” on Test cricket. The West Indies leg-spinner says the five-day game is his favourite format and he is feeling confident as the Windies prepare for the start of the two-match Test Series against Bangladesh on Friday.

This will be Bishoo’s sixth Test and first outside the Caribbean. He said the preparations for himself and the team have gone well. The match will be at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

First ball is 9.30 am (11.30 pm Thursday Eastern Caribbean Time/10.30 pm Jamaica Time)

Windies positive ahead of 1st Test

Chittagong, Bangladesh – The West Indies have made the switch from the white ball to the red ball as they prepare to face Bangladesh in the two-match Test Series. On Wednesday, the Windies were forced to use the indoor facilities at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium but they got outdoors on Thursday for a fun training session in the sunshine.

Simmons ready to make most of Test recall

Chittagong, Bangladesh — West Indies opener Lendl Simmons is looking to take his good form from the just concluded One-Day Series into the upcoming Test Series against Bangladesh and cement a spot at the top of the batting order.

The 26-year-old has been drafted into the Test squad as a replacement for Adrian Barath, who has not recovered from a hamstring injury. Simmons batted brilliantly in the One-Day Series, which the Windies won 2-1. He had scores of 102 and 80 – won the Man-of-the-Match award in the first game – and ended as the leading run-maker.

Windies to play India ODIs under lights

MUMBAI, India, IANS-CMC – All five One-Day Internationals between West Indies and India starting next month will be day-night affairs, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) announced Tuesday.

This was confirmed by BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale.

West Indies will open the series in Cuttack on November 29 before traveling to Vishakhapatnam for the second ODI four days later.

The remaining matches will be played in Ahmedabad (December 5), Indore (December 8) and Chennai (December 11).

Decisions following WICB Board meeting
