Roseau, Dominica – England Lions secured first innings points over Windward Islands on the second day of their WICB First-Class Championship match, but the hosts hit back late to keep themselves in contention in the sixth round match, on Friday.
Resuming at their overnight 280-8, the visitors were dismissed for 302 and the Windwards recovered from a rocky start to make 237. In the eight overs available before the close at Windsor Park, the Lions lost Craig Kieswetter (nine) to be 20-1, an overall lead of 85 runs.
