Windies set for preparatory camp

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The West Indies team will begin a one-week preparatory camp here on Sunday ahead of the tour of Bangladesh, which starts early next month.

As has been the custom in recent years, the camp will be held at the well-appointed 3Ws Oval at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies.

Lara hails T20 success but urges caution

Dhaka: Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has named the former West Indies cricket captain Brian Lara as the brand ambassador of its franchise, Chittagong Kings.

The West Indies batting legend, who has signed a three-year contract with the Kings, will be here in November to complete the formalities.

Sir Wes receives insignia of Knighthood

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Sir Wesley Hall, the former West Indies fast bowler and cricket legend, was presented with the insignia of Knighthood Tuesday after being named in the Queen’s birthday honours list in June.
