Dwayne Bravo: "Total team effort"

Colombo, Sri Lanka - Dwayne Bravo, on the eve of the International Cricket Council's World Twenty20 2012 semi-final against Australia, emphasised on team effort being the key to overcome Australia.

“First of all, we need a total team effort. I think both sides (are) familiar with each other, their strengths and weaknesses. We need to capitalise on good starts and make sure we start well,” said Bravo.

Gayle ready to take on Aussie big names

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Chris Gayle says he is ready to perform his heroics on the “big stage” on Friday night when the West Indies clash with Australia in the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 tournament.

The contest will be under lights at the R Premasada Stadium and the reward for victory will be a spot in the grand finale against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Radford urges calm under pressure

Colombo, Sri Lanka - West Indies Assistant Coach Toby Radford has called on the team to maintain their ability to remain cool under pressure when they face Australia in the second ICC World Twenty20 2012 semi-final on Friday.

Radford suggested the team should be able to draw strength from their Super Over victory against New Zealand in their final Super Eights match when they go into their crunch match at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
