ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, CMC – Bullish following his side’s strong showing in the World Cup, Shahid Afridi has sent a strong and early warning to West Indies that Pakistan will be seeking to bury past demons on their tour of the Caribbean, starting later this month. The Pakistan limited-overs captain said on Sunday that the Pakistanis would be going all out to stamp their authority on the series, which features two Tests, five One-day Internationals, and a Twenty20 International between April 21 and May 24. “It would be result-oriented,” he said. “Our team is in good spirit and high morale.

Amazing Austin spins CCC into Final

Cave Hill, Barbados – Combined Campuses & Colleges defeated Windward Islands by a whopping 157 runs to advance to the final of the WICB First-class Championships.

Led by a brilliant bowling effort from off-spinner Ryan Austin and backed up by left-arm spinner Kavesh Kantasingh, the CCC dismissed the visitors for a mere 128 as they fell apart on pursuit of a target of 286. The 29-year-old Austin ended with5-32 from 11 overs to trigger a dramatic middle and lower order collapse in the evening session of the penultimate day at the 3Ws Oval.
