Ramdin: WI not taking Bangladesh lightly

DHAKA, Bangladesh – Vice Captain Denesh Ramdin says the West Indies would not be taking Bangladesh for granted during their tour which begins here next week Tuesday.

The West Indian players are already in Dhaka and will meet the home side in the first of two test matches next Tuesday at the  at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium .

Plans on track for Premier league

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Negotiations are on track for the staging of the inaugural Caribbean Premier League, a franchise tournament.

Confirmation has come from the new CEO of the West Indies Cricket Board, Michael Muirhead, who says the regional T20 series in January could be replaced by the CPL.

Windies arrive in Bangladesh

Dhaka: A 15-member West Indies squad led by Darren Sammy arrived in Dhaka on Monday for a series involving two Tests, five One Day Internationals and one Twenty20 against Bangladesh.

The West Indies will start their tour with a Test match against the hosts at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium here Nov 12-17, reports Xinhua.
