Mumbai, India -- Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar fell short of his 100th international century once again on Friday after being dismissed for 94 on the fourth morning of the third and final Test against West Indies.

The 38-year-old, unbeaten on 67 overnight, hit three boundaries and a six in the session and looked set to secure the coveted ton that has eluded him since he last made three figures in the ICC Cricket World Cup in April.

Mumbai, India, Nov 24, CMC - West Indies captain Darren Sammy intends to make Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar fight for his 100th International century with two days remaining in the third and final Test.

Tendulkar was unbeaten on 67 as India made a strong reply to reach 281 for three at the close on the third day after West Indies had amassed 590 all out in their first innings.

Mumbai, India, CMC – India batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar hit an unbeaten half-century to remain on course for a 100th International century as batsmen again enjoyed the pitch at the Wankhede Stadium on the third day of the third and final Test against West Indies on Thursday.

Responding to West Indies’ mammoth first innings total of 590, India closed on 281-3 with the 38-year-old Tendulkar on 67 not out and strongly favoured to record his 52nd century in his 184th Test. He has 48 hundreds in 453 One-Day Internationals.

Haynes pleased with WI batsmen

Mumbai, India — Desmond Haynes sat on the West Indies balcony on the first two days of the third Test match against India admiring the batting of the top order. The team’s Batting Consultant, who played 116 Test matches and is rated as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, said he was “extremely pleased” with the batting display.
