Visakhapatnam, India — Ravi Rampaul played the innings of a lifetime in the second ODI against India on Friday night and following his heroics, the 27-year-old is looking for more consistent performances.

Rampaul entered the record books with a superb unbeaten 86 off just 66 balls in an action-packed hour of power-hitting at the Dr Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium.

He indicated he is looking to put together more “important performances” with his left-handed batting and right-arm fast bowling to improve his “allround game”.

Visakhapatnam, India - Virat Kohli compiled his eighth hundred in One-Day Internationals as India won the second match on Friday night to take a 2-0 series lead over West Indies.

Chasing 270 for victory, Kohli (117) and Rohit Sharma (90 not out) batted with a lot of maturity and added 163 for the fourth wicket to give India victory by five wickets at the Dr YS Rajashekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium.

Amazing Rampaul sets batting record

Visakhapatnam, India -- West Indies left-hander Ravi Rampaul on Friday created a new world record for the highest score by a Number 10 batsman in history of One-Day Internationals.

The 27-year-old struck a magnificent unbeaten 86 against India in the second One-Day International as West Indies recovered from 170-9 to reach 269-9 off their 50 overs at the Dr YS Rajashekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium.

Visakhapatnam, India -- The West Indies have managed to push India to the wall on a several occasions in the Test series, and in the first One-Day International at Cuttack a couple of days ago, dismissing half the hosts’ batting line-up for just 59.

However, in each instance, they let India off the hook, only to rue the lost chance.
